Regimental History
1/8th (Irish) Battalion Kings (Liverpool Regiment)
The History of this Battalion can be traced back to one of the oldest Regiments of the British army and is currently associated by Colours through :- The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (King's, Lancashire and Border)
As the modern armed forces change and amalgamate so the visible evidence of their past battle honours disappear from view, therefore, with thanks to the owners of each site, I have decided to give you a choice of links to enable you to visit the sites and discover for youself the background and modern day activities of this grand old 'Irish' Battalion of the British Army and an opportunity to read more about the many battle honours won, so far, during the grand history of our Great Nation.
