ORDER OF CEREMONIES         

1430:  Ecumenical religious service in the Church of Saint Vaast, Blairville

1500:  Formation of  the procession. Flags of the commune of Blairville and Le Souvenir Francais, followed by British and French flags. Personalities - Children of the school – guests.

1515:  departure of the procession to the monument-positioning of flag bearers - children-personalities facing the monument-representatives of British Church - trumpet or bugle – music ( band or cd player).

1530:  start of the ceremony.

 "Attention"  (bugle or ordered) -  Words of welcome by the Chairman of Le Souvenir Français (Mr Xavier Deneuville) - Unveiling of the monument  & Introduction of representatives:-

Prayers by the representatives of the Church

Speech by British representatives? - (tbc)

Laying of  wreath

Reading of the Exhortation in English followed in French by member of the SF

The Last Post - 2 minutes silence – the Reveille.  

Kohima Epitaph

Blessing of memorial (Chaplain/Priest) 

Playing of the British and French national anthems.(schoolchildren)

 Announcement of the end of the ceremony. Formation of a procession (all participants)  proceed to the reception.
